I keep seeing all these cute little note cards with catchy words on them and absolutely love the cards! Though I continue to say to myself "wow I could do that".. sooo I FINALLY am! I went to this website RubberStampChamp.com and custom made three stamps (each $3.99) and if you spend over $10 you get free shipping! So I am not awaiting my cute little stamps so I can go out to pick up my note cards and stamp ink! Can't wait to see how the cards come out!
Serial Mom has been a long time favorite movie of mine. For those unfamiliar with the movie, it came out in 94, starring Kathleen Turner (as the Mom) and my all time fav Talk Show Host Ricki Lake, in her fat years (as the Daughter). The basic plot:
A picture perfect middle class family is shocked when they find out that one of their neighbors is receiving obscene phone calls. The mom takes slights against her family very personally, and it turns out she is indeed the one harassing the neighbor. As other slights befall her beloved family, the body count begins to increase, and the police get closer to the truth, threatening the family's picture perfect world.
Among the people she kills for ill manners and socially incorrect habits, she prays on someone with a huge fashion faux pas, white after Labor Day! Shocking I know! And this is my favorite part of the entire movie! After Beverly (Serial Mom), is caught brought to court for her killings, she notices a member of the jury is wearing white shoes, after Labor Day! Of course sending her over the edge...
Anyways, next week is Memorial Day weekend, so break out your white! And check out Serial Mom! An oldie by goodie

This past weekend I had a chance to watch Bride Wars. What a cute movie! It takes place in New York City, the basic plot: two best friends have dreamt all their lives of getting married at the Plaza Hotel, both become engaged around the same time... these two best friends, Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway, become rivals when they end up scheduling their weddings on the same day, at the Plaza Hotel. The movie was actually filmed here in Boston, at the Park Plaza Hotel. Loved it!
I'm sure you all have your Mother's Day shopping finished by now. In the meantime, check out this list of the WORST Mother's Day gifts to buy! Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there, especially my #1 Mom! xox
I am always searching for the perfect gift for my friends and family. I spend a lot of time trying to pick out something that is personal and meaningful for each specific person... yet sometimes after all the time and effort searching, I still can't seem to find what I am looking for and they end up with something else... not that this gift isn't also just as great ;)
There is a great website called Etsy, where people can buy and sell anything that is handmade! There is a lot of really neat stuff out there, definitely one of a kind! There is a one of a kind gift out there, you just have to look!
As you have probably noticed by now, I am always on the hunt for the latest deal or discount. In these tough economic times, it is always great to save a $ buck! I came across this great website HUBEATS, where you can find all the "deals" at Boston restaurants, day by day! This is great if you are planning to go out and want to go somewhere that is offering a discount or deal! Enjoy! Happy Friday xo
