Liberty Hotel

This past weekend was my big stay at the Liberty Hotel. I had received the free night stay after attending the He's Just Not That Into You Party. The hotel was AMAZING! The entire experience began with sparkling wine at check-in. For those unfamiliar with the hotel, it is located in the heart of Beacon Hill. Our view was breathe taking, we over looked the Charles River and Beacon Hill. Originally the Charles Street Jail, this hotel under went a $150 million to transform into this new premier luxury destination. For more information about the history of the hotel click here.

We also checked out both of the hotel Restaurant/Bars- Alibi and Clink. Both had such a great vibe and atmosphere. I really loved the celebrity mug shots in Alibi!

<3 Target

So I have found just one more reason why I LOVE Target. I have been on the hunt for a new pair of black ballet flats.. I had my eye on a pair by Jessica Simpson, but they were $58.95 which is waaaay too much to pay (considering what I can usually find at Marshalls). I went on target to see if they had anything good. And to my surprise THEY HAD MY shoes, and for a fraction of the price! Can you tell the difference, because I sure can't!

Target

$19.99

Happy 50th

Yesterday, Barbie celebrated her 50th Birthday! Last month I wrote a posting all about the history of Barbie. In honor of this big day, Target has created a special 50th Anniversary doll. And best of all, is offering it at the 1959 price!!! The "Barbie Then and Now, 1959- 2009" is being sold for $3. As seen in the picture, Barbie is wearing her classic ponytail and striped swim suit with of course all the must have accessories. What a great gift for all the little girls AND big girls out there!

Hot INVITE

Could evite be a thing of the past? For those unfamiliar with evite- it is an online way to send invitations and allow your friends to RSVP through email. Recently I came across a new website pingg, a similar idea but has many more options and allows you to be more creative with your invites. Pingg allows you to print, email, and even text message your invitations! Also, the website goes beyond the basic clip art, allowing you to use photos and artwork from different designers. You can even set up a registry and/or charitable donation through the invite. And best of all, my all time favorite Martha Stewart is a big fan of this web site... sooo you all know where I will be turning to when planning my next event ;)

Simply Vera Vera Wang

This past weekend I decided to check out the Vera Wang line, "Simply Vera" at Kohls... and to my surprise, some of the stuff was really cute! Of course I have always loved Vera Wang, but was a little unsure of the quality of clothes Kohls would have. A lot of the newer, spring items were at little too expensive for me to be spending at Kohls, but after picking through all the sales racks, I was able to find a great maroon tunic for..... $8.80!!!! Now that sounds like a great "bargain" Kohls price to me!

During these tough economic times, it is great that all of these fabulous designers have their own lines at discounted department stores... making it easier for all of use to stay stylish on a budget!
