Restaurant Week Boston Winter 2009

The official Restaurant Week listing is out! Sooo exciting! I look forward to this twice a year, and when the list finally comes out, spend hours deciding just where to go.. For those unfamiliar with this great event- for 2 weeks in March and 2 weeks in August, restaurants in the Boston area offer Gourmet Prix-Fixe menus for a fraction of the price it would normally be to eat there.. $20.09 for lunch and $33.09 for dinner. This gives everyone a chance to eat at those great restaurants you wouldn't normally be able to afford. This March, Restaurant week will begin March 15 -20 and March 22- 27. I came across this great store online that is very similar to anthropologie, but half the price! I love love love Anthropologie, they have such original pieces. Every time I go to the store I want to buy EVERYTHING! Unfortunately my funds will not allow for me to do that. Tulle has the same clothing style, but allows for a shopper on any budget to shop there. If you look in their sale section, there are some great prices!

During my recent trip to the Burlington Mall, I made sure to hit one of its newest additions, ZARA. Similar to H&M, Zara has some really fabulous and trendy pieces that everyone can afford. Originally from Spain, Zara has stores all over the world, including 41 stores in the US. I was able to find a great black, wool, short- belted coat for only $29.99!!! What a great deal!

Boden USA

Last week I received a catalog in the mail from Boden USA. It had some interesting pieces- perfect for the summer or for a tropical vacation. The company started in the early 90s in England with just menswear. In 1994, they launched their womenswear line, and in 2002 they came to the US. What really caught my eye was the introduction page, written by the designer Johnnie Boden. And this brought a smile to my face on a cold winter's day.

Alexander McQueen for Target!

Beginning in March, Target is set to kick off their new "Designer Collaborations" with McQ Alexander McQueen for Target, a version of his secondary line McQ. This will differ from Target's GO International, which focuses more on new designers.

What should we expect?? FabSugar predicts: Sweaters, skinny jeans, dresses, trench coats, swimwear, and blazers will be made in muted colors with bright accents.

Last year I was forwarded the website for EyesLipsFace... a make-up company that has almost everything for $1! Shocking I know! I was a little unsure of the quality of the make-up since I am used to spending waaaaaay more then $1 per item, but figured I would give it a try! Well 3 orders later, I LOVE the make-up! And have forwarded it to all of my friends. Check it out for yourself!

Definitely a *Must See*

What a great movie! With so many great cast members it is hard to go wrong, there is something for everyone. If you are in need of a good laugh or for just a fun girls' night out, this is the movie for you! The movie comes out in theaters this Friday!

And for all of you out there that have already read the book- the movie is still GREAT! ;)

I do also have to add what a fun pre-party was hosted at District. We of course were one of the first 100 people to arrive and received the all important "swag bag", which I must say was FULL of great stuff! Most exciting, a certificate for a free nights stay at the Liberty Hotel. I have been dying to stay at the Liberty! This hotel was opened in 2007, after undergoing a huge renovation as it used to be the Charles Street Jail. So I'm sure the hotel has some great character!
